Case Study – American Freight

Background
Just North of Regency Mall, Racine’s High Ridge Center has been largely vacant since the
closing of its Office Max and KMart locations. In 2022, ownership was eager to upgrade the
space, creating a desirable location for Racine businesses to thrive.

Project
The client needed a Racine General Contractor who was capable of completing a large amount
of updates to the space with a quick turnaround. The work to be coordinated included:
● Removal of old showroom floor
● Grinding & sealing of concrete flooring
● Patching and painting all interior walls
● Installation of updated lighting
● Updating ceiling tile in offices & restrooms
● Repairing front entrance and installing new doors
● Replacing rear and side exterior doors
● Updating the space to current code

The newly renovated space at 2101 South Green Bay Rd is now home to American Freight,
which offers furniture, mattresses and home appliances.
